This 40 hour course runs every Thursday afternoon from March until May.

Human Resource knowledge is the foundation for creating healthy and profitable workplaces. Good HR practices are required to create environments where employees are committed to the business success and are motivated to provide excellent customer service.

It is critical to stay up to date as our workplaces change and employee expectations evolve. The current health emergency highlights the need for organizations to assess their HR knowledge and the effectiveness of their practices. In this course you will learn how to implement a HR structure that aligns with current workplace realities. The training will provide you with the tools and confidence to handle common workplace situations such as hiring the right people, meeting legal obligations, engaging employees, dealing with performance issues and when necessary, ending employment.

Course topics include:
- Successful Hiring
- Performance Management
- Delivering Feedback
- Employee Engagement
- Labour standards Legislation
- Employee Handbook Policies
- Respectful Workplaces
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Ending Employment and Terminations
- Rewards and Recognition
