Did you know that roughly half of private business transitions are considered ‘involuntary’, and that three out of four owners regret how it played out a year after the sale? It doesn’t have to be that way!
If you're part of a family business, you understand that succession isn't just about numbers - it’s about people, purpose, and preserving what you’ve built.
Join us for a practical and eye-opening session on a new option now available in Canada: the Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) - a succession strategy that allows you to sell your business to your team, while protecting your legacy and potentially qualifying for a $10M capital gains tax exemption.
Hear from Pete Walker of Boughton Riverview Consulting, and Josh Golden of TXI to learn how employee buyouts are designed to enable an exit that combines a fair price with safeguarding the legacy of the business - with the opportunity to have the first $10M in capital gains tax exempted.
Whether you're planning for succession in 5 years or just starting to think about your exit, this is one conversation no family business owner should miss.
